experienced Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and
deployment of our cutting-edge agent-facing digital solutions. As a
Solution Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring that the
portal's architecture meets both current and future business needs,
aligns with our technical strategy, and delivers a seamless user
experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams,
including developers, UX/UI designers, product managers, and
business stakeholders, to create a scalable, secure, and
high-performance digital portal.Job DescriptionKey
Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design:
- Lead the continuation of design for the overall architecture
for the internet portal, ensuring it aligns with business
requirements, technical standards, and best practices.
- Define and document the architectural patterns, frameworks, and
guidelines to be followed by the development teams.
- Creation of formal documentation including technical diagrams,
system functionality, and business process.
- Technology Strategy:
- Develop a technology roadmap for the portal, selecting
appropriate tools, platforms, and technologies to support the
portal's features and scalability.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and evaluate their
potential to improve the portal's performance and user
experience.
- Drive implementation efforts and integrations between various
systems utilized within the portal.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to
understand business requirements and translate them into technical
solutions.
- Lead and mentor development teams in the implementation of the
portal architecture, providing guidance and oversight throughout
the development lifecycle.
- Oversee 3rd party vendor resources in development, support and
integration efforts.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure that the portal architecture complies with relevant
security standards and regulations.
- Implement best practices for data security, user privacy, and
secure access controls.
- Performance and Scalability:
- Design the portal to handle high traffic volumes and ensure it
is scalable to accommodate future growth.
- Implement performance optimization techniques, such as load
balancing, caching, and database optimization.
- Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the quality of the portal's codebase, ensuring it is
maintainable, testable, and adheres to best practices.
- Work with QA teams to establish testing strategies and ensure
the portal is robust and reliable.
- Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation,
including diagrams, data flows, and technical specifications.
- Provide training and support to development teams and other
stakeholders on the architectural standards and
practices.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 7 - 10+ years of demonstrated experience in software
architecture, with a focus on designing, building, scaling and
supporting enterprise solutions and platforms using Digital-native
web and internet technologies in the insurance industry.
- Proven experience as a solution architect in the Life and
Health Insurance vertical.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect overseeing
large-scale internet portals or web applications.
- Strong knowledge of architectural design patterns, frameworks,
and best practices.
- Proficiency in web technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3,
JavaScript, Angular/React, RESTful APIs, and microservices
architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google
Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker,
Kubernetes).
- Experience with DevSecOps, security standards and practices,
including OAuth, SSL/TLS, and data encryption.
- Familiarity with Data Architecture and patterns.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think
strategically. Focused on getting things done quickly and
simply.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills,
with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional
teams.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to travel: 15-25%.Preferred Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure
